John Corella

John Corella has more than 10 years of experience leading teams representing buyers, sellers or lenders and offers support in evaluating opportunities across the risk and return spectrum.

Mr. Corella has guided clients in more than 100 transactions across a range of sectors; however, his specific expertise focuses on healthcare, technology and software, consumer products and retail industries and technology, media and telecommunications. Mr. Corella’s clients range from large public companies to large and middle-market private equity firms and mezzanine and senior lenders.

Mr. Corella’s experience primarily focuses on providing financial and operational consulting, financial advisory and transaction support, initial public offering readiness and interim financial management services. His buy-side experience includes analyzing quality of earnings, quality of revenue and working capital, as well as identifying potential liabilities and risks associated with a proposed transaction. His sell-side and refinancing experience covers the evaluation of businesses or entities for sale, including quality of earnings, working capital, identifying value propositions, seller proceeds modeling and forecasting analyses, as well as identifying potential separation and transition risks.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Corella worked for five years in audit and assurance services at BDO, where he led engagement teams in performing annual financial statement audits and quarterly reviews for both public and private sector companies, primarily in the healthcare and government contracting industries.

Relevant Experience:

• Advised on more than 100 transactions, including buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, across sectors such as healthcare, software and technology, and technology, media and telecommunications
• Assisted lenders with cash flow monitoring, business plan and operational reviews and strategic option analyses across various industries
• Served as an interim controller for a $300 million physician practice and management services organization, overseeing monthly close and financial reporting and supporting integration efforts for newly acquired practices
• Assisted a large semiconductor manufacturer with initial public offering readiness, including preparing prospectus disclosures, presenting management-adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization and compiling other quarterly and annual disclosures
• Provided post-merger integration and integration management office support for the merger of two large prison healthcare systems
