About Josh
Josh Drobnyk is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and Head of the Financial Services sector for the Americas. Mr. Drobnyk splits his time between Washington, D.C. and New York and advises clients through complicated reputational risks and profile-building campaigns.
Mr. Drobnyk has 25 years of experience working at the intersection of government, media, financial services and technology. He has held senior communications roles across the private and public sectors, including at Robinhood Markets, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) and in the United States Congress.
Mr. Drobnyk started his career in marketing before moving to Washington as a journalist, where he covered Congress out of the Tribune Washington Bureau. He led communications on the U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee for several years before his appointment as the Principal Deputy Secretary for Public Affairs at the Treasury Department. At FINRA, Mr. Drobnyk oversaw all corporate communications on behalf of the securities regulator.
Within the private sector, Mr. Drobnyk has led communications for multiple tech companies, including Robinhood, where he built out the communications function and led the department through multiple corporate crises, its 2021 IPO and the company’s transition to the public markets.
In addition to his M.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University, Mr. Drobnyk has a B.A. in Economics from Bowdoin College.
