About Josh
Josh Drobnyk is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting's Strategic Communications segment based in Washington, where he advises financial services clients across public affairs and corporate communications. Mr. Drobnyk has more than two decades of experience working at the intersection of government, media, financial services and technology. He has worked at senior levels of Congress, the Treasury Department, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) and within the private sector, including at Robinhood Markets.
A graduate of Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism, Mr. Drobnyk came to Washington as a reporter covering Congress out of the Tribune Washington Bureau. He led communications on the House Ways and Means Committee for several years before his appointment as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the Treasury Department. At FINRA, Mr. Drobnyk oversaw all corporate communications on behalf of the securities regulator.
Within the private sector, Mr. Drobnyk has led communications for multiple tech companies, including Robinhood Markets, where he built out the communications function and led the department through multiple corporate crises, its 2021 IPO and the company’s transition to the public markets.
In addition to his M.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University, Mr. Drobnyk has a B.A. in Economics from Bowdoin College.
