About Josine
Josine Massop has more than a decade of experience advising stakeholders in complex, stressed and distressed financial restructurings. Josine’s experience includes financial restructuring and stakeholder management, option analysis, short-term liquidity assessment, business plan review and contingency planning for lenders, corporates, funds and regulators.
Josine has advised stakeholders across a wide range of sectors, including business services, retail, fibre broadband, chemicals and telecom. She frequently works on cross-border situations, often involving multiple layers of debt. In addition, she has led origination for FTI Consulting’s Restructuring team for two years, focusing on watchlist discussions and market trends.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Josine was a Senior Manager in PwC’s Restructuring team. She spent a year on secondment to a special situation investor, where her role included research, analysis and execution of distressed credit and equity investments in the retail sector across Europe. In addition, she was seconded to Stage Entertainment, a Dutch musical production company, during its turnaround.

- Served as financial advisor to the bank lenders of a European chemical company
- Led a business plan review for the direct lender of an IT services company
- Led a business plan review of a challenged global telecoms distributor on behalf of the ad hoc group
- Led a business plan review of a challenged UK alternative network provider on behalf of the senior lenders
- Led a business plan review for a European chemical company
- Supported the trading liquidation of Prax Lindsay Oil Refinery
- Served as financial advisor to the bank lenders of an African mine
