About Juli
Juli Saitz is a Senior Managing Director in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment at FTI Consulting, based in New York City. Ms. Saitz has nearly 30 years of experience providing financial, economic and forensic accounting analyses in complex litigation, arbitration and investigations. She is frequently retained as a testifying expert in federal and state courts and domestic and international arbitrations.
Ms. Saitz has significant experience quantifying damages in intellectual property disputes, including trademark, copyright, false advertising and patent matters. Her work includes analyses of lost profits, reasonable royalties, disgorgement of profits, apportionment, licensing and royalty disputes, as well as other complex economic issues arising in intellectual property litigation. She also advises clients on valuation and financial issues in commercial disputes across a broad range of industries.
Throughout her career, Ms. Saitz has worked with counsel and clients through all phases of the litigation lifecycle, from early case assessment and discovery through expert reports, deposition, trial and post-trial proceedings. She is known for presenting complex financial and economic concepts in a clear, objective and persuasive manner.
In addition to intellectual property matters, Ms. Saitz has served as a damages and accounting expert in disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, valuation, accounting, representations and warranties, business dissolution, derivative shareholder actions and other complex commercial matters. Her experience includes strategic financial analysis, profit calculations, cost claims, asset tracing, licensing and royalty determinations, manufacturing and marketing capacity analyses, evaluation of forecasts and projections, fiduciary oversight and business valuation.
Ms. Saitz holds a B.S. in Accounting from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She is a Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”) in New York, Accredited in Business Valuation and Certified in Financial Forensics by the American Institute of CPAs. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the New York State Society of CPAs, the American Bar Association, the Copyright Society, the Licensing Executives Society and the New York International Arbitration Center, where she served on the advisory council for its quantum and expert educational series.
