Kamran Hamidi is a member of the Corporate Finance and Transactions segment with more than 10 years of experience in developing strategic business plans, financial models, undertaking business reviews, and performing financial due diligence.
Mr. Hamidi specializes in advising companies and private equity funds with respect to financial due diligence of potential target companies. He has been involved in quality of earnings (QoE) analysis, net working capital assessments and evaluation of cash flow projections. Mr. Hamidi also has experience in assessing long-term business plans and financial models for various companies in his role as financial advisor.
Mr. Hamidi also advises management and lenders with respect to the proposed reorganizations and performing in-depth analysis of companies’ business affairs to develop restructuring plans. He has been involved in the reorganizations, business plan reviews, and cash flow management affairs in a wide variety of industries. Mr. Hamidi has experience in cross-border restructurings having been involved in U.S. Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 proceedings. More recently, Mr. Hamidi was involved in the restructuring of Latam Airlines, the largest airline in South America, where he helped develop the company’s strategic business plan to raise $2.5 billion of DIP financing. Mr. Hamidi was also involved in building the financial model for Sears Canada to raise $450 million of DIP financing and evaluating the sales proposals.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Hamidi was a Manager at Deloitte in the Audit segment, specializing in their Financial Institutions group. There, he led client engagements of large banks and investment funds where he reviewed internal controls and audited financial statements.
Mr. Hamidi holds a B.B.A. (honors with distinction) degree from the Schulich School of Business (York University) in Toronto, Canada. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
