Kathryn DeVito

Kathryn DeVito is a Senior Managing Director within the Strategic Communications segment at FTI Consulting and helps lead the Corporate Positioning & Insights practice. Ms. DeVito is a digital platform and content strategist with more than 25 years of experience developing and leading integrated and complex communications campaigns, focusing on public affairs, corporate reputation, crisis and litigation matters. She is based in Washington D.C.

Ms. DeVito advises Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, trade associations and nonprofits. She is recognized for her expertise in devising data-driven and audience-first campaigns that often include extensive corporate positioning and enhanced content strategy, influencer engagement, sponsored issue advocacy and targeted amplification. She consistently cultivates a team of experts with specialization in creative design, content development, paid and earned media, digital and social platform strategy, digital intelligence, data science and primary research to offer innovative communications and insights solutions that meet the unprecedented challenges of an increasingly complex modern media and communications landscape that is disrupted by changing technologies.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. DeVito was Senior Vice President and Practice Chair at LEVICK, where she led the building of a digital team, started its communications analytics practice and re-launched the company’s external marketing efforts. Before that, she was a Senior Vice President and Partner at FleishmanHillard and led the digital, content and platform strategy team, as well as managed the new business operations for the Washington, D.C. office. She also served as the client relationship manager for a large, D.C.-based trade association and oversaw the implementation of a consumer-focused reputation campaign that included all elements of a paid, earned, shared and owned strategy. In addition, Ms. DeVito has worked at APCO Worldwide, MacNeil/Lehrer Productions and as a freelance writer. Her writing has appeared in Kirkus Reviews, The Washington Post, The Pittsburg Gazette, The San Antonio Express News, Publisher’s Weekly and The Weekly Standard, among others.

Ms. DeVito graduated from Boston University with a B.A in History. The Consulting Report named her a top 25 Consultant in Digital Transformation in 2025 and PR News named her a Top Woman in PR & Communications in 2026.
