About Kendall
Kendall Pelander has more than 12 years of experience in digital enablement, innovation, strategy and experience design within the healthcare industry. Ms. Pelander brings a blend of strategy and digital expertise to assist clients with improving user experiences, from strategy definition through value realization. This is all done with a particular focus on defining delivery materials (e.g., financial model, roadmap, change management) during the strategic planning phase. Specific areas of focus include care model transformation and connected care, platform strategy, analytic enablement and go-to-market definition.
Ms. Pelander has broad experience across the healthcare provider and payer space, including nonprofit and for-profit entities. Her experience has spanned the full health continuum, with focuses on behavioral health and ambulatory care. She has extensive capabilities in leading clients through experience-based and digitally enabled transformations, both with a near-term and long-term focus.
Ms. Pelander’s expertise and prior work includes care model transformation, go-to-market definition, analytics enablement, digital enablement and experience design.
Ms. Pelander earned her B.B.A. in strategic consulting and marketing from Emory University.
Relevant Experience:
- Led an effort to redesign the behavioral health experience and services for the largest U.S. integrated provider and payer as the result of a state-mandated fine; performed a deep summary of more than 14,000 current patient experiences through interviews and a survey, and established a two-year solution roadmap
- Oversaw an initiative to define the go-to-market digital approach and operating model options for establishing new revenue streams at the top ranked children’s hospital in the United States
- Led a care model transformation effort for a community hospital focused on redefining how care is delivered virtually and in the home; resulted in a connected care model driven by a centralized command center and the launch of a joint venture virtual hospital across multiple states
- Led a contact center transformation for a Fortune 50 payer and provider resulting in vendor selection and a three-year timeline to complete the transformation; established an organization-wide contact platform implementation strategy for all 14 business units
