Kevin Davidson has spent 16 years in healthcare analytics and consulting, specializing in process improvement, workforce management and program development. Mr. Davidson is experienced with many major healthcare human resource information systems (“HRIS”) and labor analytics platforms, including Workday, Simplr (formally API), Kronos, Vizient-ActionOI, Premier-OperationsAdvisor, Avantas-Smart Square and Oracle. Prior to FTI Consulting, he led workforce IT product strategy teams and managed system-wide labor programs for acute care health organizations.
Mr. Davidson’s recent work has focused on the integration and transformation of healthcare providers and telehealth organizations post-acquisition. These organizations required new and innovative operating models that would deliver the intended product/service output of the merger, while also achieving the cost savings necessary to recognize the added value of the newly formed system. In these efforts, Mr. Davidson managed numerous cross-specialty teams that assessed and implemented operational improvements and savings.
In prior IT roles, Mr. Davidson focused on creating innovative products and strategies for workforce management applications, such as automated hospital benchmarking and accountability tools for productivity program adherence leveraging Agile development methodologies. These product initiatives created market-leading solutions for client subscribers. Further, he has helped to lead the evaluation and selection process of time, attendance, and scheduling solutions at client sites, while also completing specialized system transformation engagements to leverage that technology.
In prior consulting roles, Mr. Davidson helped to create workforce optimization programs centered around labor cost management. Serving a spectrum of academic medical centers, multi-state IDNs and single community hospitals, Mr. Davidson created bespoke workforce management programs for facility leadership teams. These programs included executive coaching in financial planning, focused departmental benchmarking reviews, and long-term productivity monitoring best practices. During these client engagements, he has helped manage specialized collaboratives which included Kaizen events, patient flow process standardizations, and technology enablement exercises.
