LaQuita Jewett has more than 20 years of experience supporting strategic company initiatives and transactions for private equity firms, global companies and middle market businesses through the pre-sign, sign-to-close and post-close phases of the deal lifecycle for both carve-outs and merger integrations.
Ms. Jewett has extensive experience leading M&A projects, managing more than 75 complex transactions ranging from $25 million to $2 billion across various industries. Her expertise includes quality of earnings analysis, vendor due diligence, carve-outs, identifying key deal issues and risk areas, assessing working capital requirements and key performance indicators, analyzing financial reporting processes and deal synergies, as well as post-merger integration.
Additionally, she has a strong background in leading finance functions, including financial oversight, strategic planning and forecasting, tax compliance, financial reporting, internal controls, board of directors presentations, technical accounting and analysis and special projects.
Relevant Experience:
- Oversaw cross-functional project management office (“PMO”) of a $400 million global integration budget for the $16 billion acquisition of cancer treatment drugs
- Directed the work of global controllership teams (more than 300 professionals) for a $1.9 billion life sciences company publicly listed in the UK; a $1.7 billion multinational technology company operating in more than 60 countries; and an $800 million media, events and research company
- Led seller due diligence to carve-out and stand-up a $800 million generic drug business from a leading pharmaceutical parent company
- Prepared interim reporting solution to consolidate the financial statements for five merged companies in the water treatment business; advised on purchase accounting and other technical accounting issues
- Prepared closing statement including the closing cash amount, closing indebtedness amount, and closing working capital amount for multiple acquisitions in accordance with purchase agreements
