About Louis
Louis Segalini specializes in the technology sector and has more than 10 years of advisory and operating experience driving revenue and bottom-line results for corporates and private equity (“PE”)-backed companies through value creation programs, rapid assessments and growth and cost transformations.
Louis delivers meaningful profit and loss (“P&L”) results in urgent enterprise improvement, growth and turnaround situations. He has functional experience in go-to-market (“GTM”) strategy, commercial/market assessments, research and development (“R&D”) portfolio optimization and strategic financial planning.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Louis was the head of corporate development, transformation and growth for Videri, a PE-backed technology company in the digital signage and out-of-home media space. Earlier in his career he was a senior management consultant at AlixPartners in its telecom, media and technology group.
Born in Argentina, Louis has lived in South America, Europe and the United States; he speaks fluent French and Spanish and has adapted to a variety of cultural and professional settings.
Relevant Experience:
- Architected a new customer segmentation model to identify $80 million in expansion opportunities and redesigned sales incentive plans for all quota-bearing sales roles as part of a GTM transformation program for a $3 billion CPaaS company
- Led R&D assessment of a $120 million HR tech SaaS company being acquired by a similar $800 million firm, backed via a leading PE fund, identifying more than $10 million in upsell/cross-sell revenue opportunities, over 30% in cost synergies due to duplicative product portfolio and roadmap and areas for productivity improvement in ticket triage and backlog; led the subsequent R&D integration as part of the PE roll-up strategy, accelerating end-of-sale/end-of-life plans for low-growth products while assessing knock-on customer churn risk and individual product profitability
- Led commercial and operational diligence on a $150 million data-protection-as-a-service (“DPaaS”) provider, outlining near-term business and market risks, assessing revenue growth potential via customer churn models and identifying more than $10 million in savings across major functions
- Leveraged advanced analytics to identify span, salary and offshoring opportunities and achieved more than $100 million in labor savings as part of a PE turnaround of a $4 billion cybersecurity SaaS company
- Facilitated the redesign of deposit pricing strategy for a top-four Australian bank using data mining and statistical analysis, delivering more than $400 million in revenue uplift in the first year, one of the most profitable engagements in bank history
