Luis Roman

Luis E. Roman is a Senior Managing Director in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment of FTI Consulting, with more than 30 years of experience in construction and project management, including more than 25 years in construction forensics. Mr. Roman’s expertise in schedule delay, cost overrun and loss of productivity analysis strengthens FTI Consulting’s construction disputes capabilities.

Mr. Roman has overseen the project portfolio of construction management services in all phases of the construction process such as estimate review, bid process, CPM planning and schedule analysis, cost estimating, project scheduling and monitoring, contract and design constructability review, cost-to-complete evaluations, time delay studies, impact analysis, productivity studies, damages quantification, project management, training and seminars, and various litigation technical support;

Mr. Roman is an experienced expert witness, having provided testimony and expert opinions on both domestic and international proceedings. Throughout his career, he has advised clients in North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia on projects spanning the power, energy, oil and gas sectors.

Mr. Roman holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Contract Administration and Management from Santa Maria University, an M.S. in Construction Management from Southern Polytechnic State University and an M.B.A. in International Business from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a Venezuelan Professional Engineer (“CIV”), a Certified Cost Professional and Planning & Scheduling Professional and a member of the Construction Management Association of America, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Association of Cost Engineering International and the Forensic Expert Witness Association. In addition to his extensive technical expertise, Mr. Roman is also fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese and Italian.
