About Luke
Luke Parker has 10 years of experience in the restructuring, turnaround and insolvency industry, working with businesses experiencing financial stress/distress in both an advisory capacity and within the framework of a formal insolvency appointment. Luke has managed teams across all forms of external administrations.
Luke has managed the trading of insolvent businesses, delivery of independent business reviews, Safe Harbour advice, counterparty due diligence assessments and solvency reviews. His experience includes managing the trading of businesses in an insolvency context, including the development of forecasting tools to ensure rigorous and reliable cash flow management.
Luke’s experience includes working with boards of ASX-listed entities to mitigate, manage and identify down-side risk and work through periods of financial stress. He has worked across the energy and resources, mining services, aged care, real property and government sectors and has also undertaken short-term secondments in internal audit and with one of Australia’s largest oil and gas producers to support research for the company’s future carbon abatement strategy.
Relevant Experience:
- Led the management of the mining assets of Kirkalocka Gold, a Western Australia (‘WA’) gold miner, under care and maintenance for 18 months prior to the Company’s sale and recapitalisation
- Managed the short-term trade on and eventual wind-down of Rivet Mining Services which employed more than 240 staff and held more than AUD40 million of haulage assets
- Contributed to the Voluntary Administration of gold miner Calidus Resources Limited (ASX: CAI), resulting in the sale and recapitalisation via Deed of Company Arrangement (‘DOCA’)
- Contributed to the Voluntary Administration of Australian Potash Limited (ASX:APC), resulting in the recapitalisation and continued listing of the WA-based miner
- Managed the delivery of restructuring advice to ASX-listed clients, within the protection of Safe Harbour legislation, working directly with executive management and boards
