About Matt
Matt has over 12 years’ experience providing financial, accounting and economic advice, typically in the context of international arbitration or litigation.
Matt's work has focused on the quantification of damages / lost profits (including those arising from breaches of contract, anti-competitive practices, regulatory decisions and patent infringement), advice on accounting matters (including in post-acquisition disputes and the assessment of wasted costs), profitability and price/cost test analysis in the context of economic regulation and business valuations. He has worked across a range of industries including air travel, logistics, utilities, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, metals and food & drink.
Matt has contributed to the preparation of expert reports and supported testifying experts before the UK High Court, the High Court in South Africa, the CAT, the Competition Tribunal in South Africa as well as ICSID, LCIA, ICC, SCC and PCA Tribunals.
Matt joined FTI Consulting in April 2011 following its acquisition of LECG, where he was an Associate in its Finance Advisory Services practice. Prior to joining LECG in September 2008, Matt completed a summer placement at the Vienna University of Technology, in Austria.
Matt holds a First Class degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, specialising in Materials Science for his MSci. He studied at the Royal Grammar School, Guildford.
Matt is a chartered accountant and member of the ICAEW.
