Matt Saidel

Matt Saidel is a Managing Director on the Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Communications team and is based in Chicago. Mr. Saidel brings more than a decade of experience in communications and public affairs and sits on the Strategic Communications segment’s integrated Financial Services sector team.

Mr. Saidel has worked with publicly traded companies, Fortune 500 clients and others to manage crisis communications, reputation recovery efforts and stakeholder engagement projects for sophisticated and diverse audiences, including investor groups, boards of directors and widespread customer bases.

Prior to FTI Consulting, Mr. Saidel worked at Resolute, a boutique public affairs firm in Chicago, where he was instrumental in building the firm's crisis communications practice. At Resolute, he served as a cross-functional leader and managed public affairs, media relations and corporate communications projects for diverse clients. Preceding Resolute, Mr. Saidel spent seven years in government and politics.

Mr. Saidel’s government experience includes serving as a spokesperson for Gov. Phil Murphy (D-NJ) and the New Jersey Department of Transportation, as well as managing the media relations and digital media initiatives for a variety of multimillion-dollar infrastructure projects in one of the most heavily trafficked regions of the United States. His deep experience in politics also includes serving in senior communications and finance roles for Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg (D-NY) and U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY).
