Michael Quaden

Michael Quaden is an expert in crisis management and business continuity management with extensive experience leading projects across various industry sectors throughout his career. Michael focuses on advising executives during crisis situations and in preparation of potential crises. In doing so, he emphasizes the early detection of risks and uncertainties, as well as the opportunities that arise from them.

Michael’s track record includes advising multinational corporations, public sector entities and high-risk industries on crisis preparedness, cyber crisis response and security governance.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Michael worked for two of the Big Four companies. Before his transition into consulting, he was with the International NGO Safety Organisation (“INSO”), first as Safety Advisor for northern Syria, followed by the role of Deputy Country Director Iraq. During his five-year tenure with INSO, Michael worked and lived in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey.

Relevant Experience:

• Led the development of a reactive crisis management and emergency management framework for a German federal agency
• Led crisis management governance development for a global player in the semiconductor industry
• Provided business continuity management system development and implementation support to a German biotechnology company
• Evaluated the business continuity management system of a global leader in the production of rubber projects in the context of Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (“TISAX”)
• Led cyber crisis management support and the execution of crisis management exercises for a globally recognized discount supermarket chain
