Michael Weyrich has more than 29 years of experience leading multinational business transformation, restructuring and operational performance improvement efforts. Michael advises global corporations and private equity firms on improving operational and financial performance, turnarounds, operating models, organisational design and cost optimisation.
Much of Michael’s work involves rapidly analysing opportunities to drive enhanced profitability and mobilising, energising and driving programmes to deliver results. Typically, this involves dramatically improving EBITDA and reducing operating costs by making changes to operating models, organisational design and working practices.
Michael has worked across multiple industries, including High Tech, Telecoms, IT and Business Services, Retail & Consumer Products and Diversified Industrials. He has experience in both executive and non-executive roles within industry, private equity and professional services across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Michael was a Senior Managing Director at a global consultancy firm in the performance improvement practice, while co-managing the Global TMT team and the Global Lean Overhead and Organisational Design team. He has also worked in the consulting practices of Accenture/Andersen Consulting and within industry with the GSM Association, Telefonica/O2 and DuPont/Danisco.
Michael has lived and worked in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Germany, the UK, the U.S., Japan, Hong Kong, Brazil and China. Through this, he has developed language skills including Danish, English, German, Swiss-German and conversational French.
