Mike Walden

Mike Walden’s expertise spans bankruptcy and restructuring, valuation, litigation support, and acquisition and development. Mr. Walden has advised clients on the acquisition and development of more than $30 billion in commercial real estate. He has more than 25 years of real estate experience.

Mr. Walden frequently represents clients on bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including debtor-side assignments for Eagle Hospitality REIT and Mountain Express Oil Company, and creditor-side advisory for FTX and Yellow Corporation.

Mr. Walden utilizes his expertise as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser to provide litigation support on cases involving real estate valuation, landlord-tenant disputes and billing disputes.

Mr. Walden advises clients on acquisition, disposition, leasing and development initiatives. He has extensive experience evaluating acquisition opportunities and developing revenue optimization strategies to enhance asset performance. His asset management experience includes managing disposition efforts, overseeing property operations, and reviewing operating expense reconciliation and billing practices to maximize recoveries.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Walden was a senior vice president at Broad Street Advisors, where he focused on real estate advisory services. He previously worked at Colliers ABR where he managed the financial services department and began his career as an appraiser at KTR Real Estate Services.
