Mustapha Labassi

Mustapha Labassi is a Transaction Services specialist with more than 15 years of experience in M&A, advising both corporate investors and financial sponsors. Over the course of his career, Mustapha has led and delivered financial due diligence assignments on more than 200 transactions across France, Europe and French-speaking Africa.

Mustapha specialises in financial due diligence across a broad range of M&A situations, including buy-and-build strategies, complex carve-out transactions, cross-border deals, leveraged buyouts (“LBOs”), asset deals and refinancing processes, acting for both bidders and sellers. In addition, he advises clients on the financial aspects of transactions, including the negotiation of sale and purchase agreements and the preparation and review of completion accounts and price adjustment mechanisms.

Mustapha’s experience spans a diversified range of sectors, with a particular focus on healthcare, telecommunications, technology, digital services and software. He has also been extensively involved in transactions across business services, transportation and logistics, as well as diversified industrials and food and agribusiness sectors. His experience covers both asset-light and asset-heavy business models, supporting clients on complex strategic, transactions across these industries.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mustapha was a Partner in Deloitte’s M&A Transaction Services team in Paris, where he led financial due diligence engagements across more than ten countries. He subsequently served as M&A Director within a European healthcare group.
