Naishadh Soneta is a Chartered Accountant with more than 12 years of experience in indirect tax. Throughout his career, Naishadh has worked with firms such as Ernst & Young and PwC in India and PwC and WTS Dhruva Consultants in the Middle East. He has advised multinational and domestic groups on a wide range of assignments, including end-to-end Goods and Services Tax (“GST”) and Value-added Tax (“VAT”) transition and implementation, identification of indirect tax strategy and tax optimization, tax advisory including tax diagnostic reviews and due diligence projects.
In the last five years, Naishadh has focused on VAT in the Middle East, having worked on the VAT implementation as well as post-implementation advisory and support for major players in the Gulf Cooperation Council (“GCC”) within real estate, oil and gas, education, retail, automotive and healthcare.
Previously, Naishadh advised multinational companies on various Indian indirect taxes such as GST, Customs, Foreign Trade Policy, Excise, Service Tax and State VAT. Naishadh has been the single point of contact for managing end-to-end GST transition and implementation projects for various clients in pharmaceuticals, real estate, services and manufacturing. Naishadh was a tax lead for the in-house GST compliance tool and E-way bills solution developed by PwC for undertaking various GST compliances, where he served as the functional lead for the development of these solutions and participated in initial testing and training.
Naishadh is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a B.Com from Mumbai University in India.
