Rakesh Aulaya is a Managing Director in the Strategic Communications segment based in Mumbai. Rakesh is a purpose-led, results-driven leader with more than 24 years of communications and policy expertise in highly regulated, fast-paced international markets. His core strength is amplifying corporate and brand reputation, public affairs, providing leadership counsel and executing strategic change management programs.
Rakesh works with major energy corporations, helping them achieve their net-zero imperatives in a holistic and sustainable manner. He is deeply involved in building the policy framework for India’s first Green Hydrogen Valley.
Previously, Rakesh led communications outreach programs at NCR Corporation for 14 years, managing more than 15 countries and impacting more than 8,000 employees across Asia, the Middle East and Africa. He has successfully partnered with C-suite leaders to develop business in new growth markets, collaborated on strategic public affairs initiatives across geographies, developed a strategic roadmap for new product introductions in under-developed economies, supported global transformation initiatives and led remote cross-functional teams in the region.
Rakesh is fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi and Konkani.

- Oversaw the business transformation of Good Relations India, a public relations consultancy, from a loss-making firm to a profitable business within a year
- Led NCR's corporate social responsibility (“CSR”) chapter in India, under which Rakesh completed an INR20 million project at NCR to rebuild a Gram Panchayat school in a village in Maharashtra, helping more than 130 primary students studying in a dilapidated and dangerous premise by providing a world-class education facility
