Rebecca Ayer Pitt

Rebecca Ayer Pitt is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment and is based in Brentwood, Tenn. Ms. Pitt focuses on the healthcare and life sciences sector and specializes in corporate reputation.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Pitt served as the vice president of corporate communications at Community Health Systems (“CHS”), a leading operator of acute care hospitals, where she advised executives as they pursued growth opportunities and navigated high-stakes issues. She was also responsible for helping hospital leaders build meaningful relationships with stakeholders to enhance their hospitals’ reputations and demonstrate value to their communities. Ms. Pitt was an integral part of the team guiding communications around Covid-19 and the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine for CHS-affiliated hospitals.

Before focusing her career on supporting hospitals and health systems, Ms. Pitt served in communications roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (“HHS”), overseeing the launch of two significant publications by the Surgeon General and driving communication strategies for HHS priorities, such as import safety, global diplomacy, pandemic and emergency preparedness planning and value-driven healthcare.

Ms. Pitt holds a M.A. in mass communication from the University of Florida and a B.A. from the University of Tennessee.
