About Ricardo
Ricardo Indalecio has more than 20 years of experience providing services as an independent auditor and forensic consultant to companies across diverse sectors. Among the many services he provides, Ricardo specializes in complex corporate investigations, shadow investigations, forensic accounting services, disputes, arbitrations, independent auditing, evaluation of internal controls and due diligence. He has led several complex investigations projects for clients of different segments including risk analysis and identification of weaknesses in internal controls.
Ricardo is a civil engineer, forensic practice expert, accountant and accounting auditor certified to work in companies regulated by the Superintendence of Private Insurance (“SUSEP”). As such, he has led numerous corporate investigations and shadow investigation procedures. These investigations have ranged from fraud, corruption and non-compliance with laws and regulations in financial statements to disputes wherein he served as a technical assistant and accounting expert.
Ricardo completed his B.A. in Accounting at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo and his B.S. in Civil Engineering at the Universidade Paulista. He is currently pursuing his LL.M. in commercial arbitration at Ibmec São Paulo.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ricardo led a service line at KPMG Brazil as partner in charge of technical support to independent auditors. In this role he supported auditors in mitigating and addressing risks in client situations and suspicions of fraud, corruption and non-compliance with laws and regulations.
Ricardo has also participated in the technical committee set up by the Institute of Independent Auditors of Brazil (“IBRACON”), which was responsible for the Technical Audit Announcement “CTA-30”, issued on June 17, 2021, by the Federal Accounting Council (“CFC”). CTA-30 provided guidance to independent auditors regarding the approach and impacts on the audit of financial statements of entities involved in matters related to non-compliance or suspected non-compliance with laws and regulations, including illegal acts or fraud.
