Rob Fisher

Rob Fisher is an expert in dispute advisory within the telecom, media and technology (“TMT”) practice. Mr. Fisher has more than 25 years of experience in the telecom industry. Mr. Fisher assists corporate clients on a range of complex financial and accounting issues.

Mr. Fisher serves as an expert witness in telecom disputes in both litigation and regulatory proceedings. Mr. Fisher’s work often involves working with “big data” and performing sensitivity analyses across a range of potential legal and financial outcomes.

Mr. Fisher has experience in complex restructuring engagements. Mr. Fisher has represented senior lenders in bankruptcy proceedings of local telecom carriers. Mr. Fisher has also advised other distressed companies in managing their third-party network costs and identified opportunities to reduce expenses.

Mr. Fisher previously developed expert testimony for railroad clients in litigation disputes involving the delivery of large coal and chemical shipments.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Fisher worked for two telecom services companies, most recently as Vice President of Strategic Marketing, where he held profit and loss responsibility for the company’s largest product. Before that, Mr. Fisher spent 10 years as a strategy consultant, working with dozens of telecom clients on financial analysis, marketing strategy and operational improvement.

• Sponsored an expert report in a class action involving consumers interacting with an on-line chat portal
• Co-sponsored an expert report in a dispute between two carriers involving a dark fiber contract
• Co-sponsored an expert report in a dispute between a fiber provider and a municipality attempting to impose rights-of-way fees
• Co-sponsored testimony in an incarcerated people's communications services (“IPCS”) rate setting proceeding before the Federal Communications Commission
• Co-sponsored an expert report in a dispute over the valuation of local telecom assets in Wisconsin
