Samuel Gans

Samuel Gans is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and a seasoned fact-based and pragmatic consultant with extensive experience in strategy, transformation and restructuring projects, as well as buy- and sell-side commercial and operational due diligence.

Samuel has experience across multiple industries, including private equity, manufacturing, logistics, IT and retail. At FTI Consulting, Samuel focuses on performance improvement assessments, aiming to identify and quantify EBITDA improvement levers and translate these findings into a transformation and execution plan. He also works on deal-related assignments, including operational and commercial due diligence and synergy assessments.

Before joining FTI Consulting, Samuel worked at KPMG as a strategy consultant within the Deal & Growth Strategy team and at a boutique consulting firm focused on family-owned businesses, where he worked on transformations and reorganisations. He gained his first operational experience at The Nederlandse Spoorwegen (“NS”) during a two-year traineeship, where he was responsible for 12 kiosks and 32 vending machines, generating approximately €15 million in annual revenue at the busiest train station in the Netherlands.

Samuel has executed multiple projects in various countries, including China, Turkey, France, Norway, the United Kingdom, the United States, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Poland and the Netherlands.

• Led approximately 25 buy- and sell-side commercial and operational due diligence assignments across various industries
• Worked on more than 10 performance improvement assessments, mostly in manufacturing environments
• Worked on more than 10 market sizing assignments, ranging from growth strategy projects to independent business reviews (“IBRs”) where market sizing insights were required
