Scott Davidson advises clients across the global aviation and aerospace ecosystem. Mr. Davidson works with airlines, aircraft and engine manufacturers and aviation services providers on complex strategic, operational and commercial challenges.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Davidson spent more than 10 years at a boutique consulting before joining Accenture and, subsequently, Kearney, where he advised aviation clients on a wide range of engagements. His experience spans airline technical operations, ground operations and crew management, as well as commercial disciplines including fleet planning, network planning, revenue management and marketing. He has also worked extensively with aircraft and engine manufacturers, acting as the voice of the airline customer to support product development and long-term partnerships.
At FTI Consulting, Mr. Davidson focuses on helping aviation clients navigate structural change and performance improvement across the value chain. His work increasingly centers on business transformation, combining industry knowledge with process excellence and emerging technologies to enhance operational resilience, customer experience and financial performance. He regularly supports clients in developing business cases for innovation-led investments and transformation initiatives.
Mr. Davidson brings a strong personal interest in inclusion and accessibility in travel. He is particularly focused on how innovation, adaptive technologies and employee enablement can improve accessibility for airline passengers with disabilities and mobility challenges.
Relevant Experience:
- Coordinated business plan and profit transformation programs at more than 10 airlines
- Led service contract (re)negotiation for various airlines worldwide (e.g., maintenance, handling, capacity purchase, G&A)
- Designed the aftermarket product and commercial strategy for Tier-1 and Tier-2 commercial aviation original equipment manufacturers (“OEMs”)
- Led various due diligence and portfolio company transformations in transportation, including the privatization of an airline and the special purpose acquisition company (“SPAC”) of an electric vertical take-off and landing (“eVTOL”) OEM
- Advised multiple airlines on their advanced air mobility, autonomous vehicle and accessible travel strategies
