Sergio Vélez

Sergio Velez is a Senior Managing Director and leads the FTI Consulting Madrid office. He focuses on Corporate Finance and more specifically on special situations, restructuring, Loan to Own strategies, interim management, and advises investors and lenders in all aspects of the investment process including pre-transaction, structuring, post-acquisition and portfolio governance.

Sergio has more than 19 years of business and restructuring experience in Europe and Latin America. He has advised multinational and domestic clients on transactions, operations and corporate finance including performance improvement and transformation, turnarounds, cash management, interim management, cost reduction, forecasting and financial advisory.

Sergio has covered a wide variety of business sectors, including industrials, renewable energy, automotive, distribution, food, Real Estate, leisure, manufacturing, etc. Sergio also serves as BoD member and advisor in various companies in Spain including public companies.

Sergio developed his professional career in various jurisdictions including Spain, Italy and Latin America holding different management and finance positions in various multinationals and Alvarez & Marsal. Sergio is a graduate in Finance & Economics and MBA for Instituto de Empresa of Madrid. Sergio is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian and has a working knowledge of French.
