Shane Murphy

Shane Murphy is a specialist in media and investor relations, public advocacy campaigns, M&A communications and proxy campaigns.

Shane has extensive experience across a wide range of ASX sectors with specialist knowledge in the technology space, dealing with sensitive immediate issues such as M&A transactions, contested proxy campaigns and shareholder activist situations, and CEO transitions, as well as assisting corporates to effectively manage their long term communications to key stakeholders.

Recently, Shane assisted four of Australia’s largest banks in relation to their significant application to the ACCC to access the Near Field Communications function on Apple’s iPhone ecosystem, in response to Apple’s lock out of contactless payment competitors on their operating system.

With ten years’ experience working in communications he has an extensive network of media contacts to draw upon in assisting corporates in meeting these challenges. Shane’s experience also includes strong investor social media campaign development and execution.

Shane joined FTI Consulting in 2007 following ten years in both the Investor Services and Document Services divisions at Computershare, the world’s largest share registrar and transfer agent.
