As an expert within FTI Consulting’s Risk and Investigations practice, Simona Suh specializes in conducting and supporting investigations for law firms, institutions and individuals with a focus on securities and white collar enforcement.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Suh spent more than 19 years with the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), first as a staff attorney and then as an assistant regional director based in the SEC’s New York office. During most of her time with the SEC, Ms. Suh worked in the Enforcement Division’s nationwide Market Abuse Unit, leveraging sophisticated data analytics tools to investigate complex insider trading and market manipulation schemes. At the SEC, Ms. Suh also conducted and supervised successful investigations of electronic trade order routing practices, payment-for-order flow arrangements, cherry-picking schemes, broker-dealer and investment adviser compliance, issuer disclosures and offering and initial coin offering (“ICO”) frauds.
Before joining the SEC, Ms. Suh was in private practice as a litigation associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. She began her legal career as a law clerk, first for the Honorable Carol B. Amon of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and then for the Honorable Richard J. Cardamone of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Ms. Suh graduated with honors from Fordham University School of Law and Pace University.
