Stephen Commadeur

Stephen Commadeur is a corporate agribusiness specialist who provides strategic advisory, transactional advisory (sell-side, buy-side and capital raising) and restructuring services to his broad client base.

Stephen joined FTI Consulting after four years with a leading M&A advisory firm, gaining invaluable corporate transactional experience and insight. Prior to this, he worked at a highly regarded restructuring and advisory firm, where he managed several turnaround projects related to farm and post-farm-gate businesses.

During Stephen’s 18-year professional career, he has gained valuable exposure to a broad range of agribusiness industries — both at farm-gate and post-farm-gate — including dairy, broadacre cropping, horticulture, viticulture, aquaculture and beef/sheep.

Stephen’s professional career is complemented by his family dairy farming background and practical farming experience across Australia, the UK and the United States.

Stephen’s genuine “paddock” knowledge, family farming upbringing and broad corporate background has enabled him to develop a unique advisory skillset and an extensive client base, providing a key point of difference in the marketplace.

Relevant Experience:

• Originated and led the sale of a large-scale cotton and vegetable production operation located in southwest New South Wales to a North American pension fund
• Led the capital raise for a newly established fund that focused on the acquisition and management of large-scale dairy farms throughout Tasmania
• Led the management and realisation of a large-scale vegetable production asset on behalf of a private credit fund
• Led the commercial and financial due diligence of a large-scale horticultural business on behalf of a North American pension fund
• Led the commercial, financial and valuation due diligence of a leading Australian alternative protein business on behalf of a Middle Eastern investment group
• Led the preparation of a detailed independent business review of a large-scale vertically integrated wine business on behalf of a private credit fund
