About Steve
Steve Everley has more than 10 years of experience working with the energy industry and shaping public policy. Mr. Everley's clients include industry trade associations and major independent oil and natural gas companies, which he advises on a range of issues including climate change, international trade, federal regulation, and reputational risk. He currently serves as a senior advisor for Energy In Depth, a nationally-recognized research program of the Independent Petroleum Association of America.
Mr. Everley has also been identified as one of the ten most influential oil and gas voices globally on social media.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting in May 2011, Mr. Everley served as an energy policy advisor to former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich at the American Enterprise Institute and American Solutions. He focused primarily on regulatory issues related to oil and natural gas, and he co-authored the energy chapter in Gingrich’s 2010 book, To Save America.
Mr. Everley holds a B.A. from the University of Kansas, where he graduated with highest distinction and honors in U.S. History.
