Stuart Carson is a Managing Director in the FTI Consulting Strategic Communications practice based in Sydney. He has more than twelve years experience in financial communications, having held consultancy roles in Sydney, London and Hong Kong. Stuart has advised on a full range of financial transactions, corporate reputation and crisis management situations.
Stuart has advised a range of clients undertaking M&A activities including Thai-listed Banpu on its $2.5 billion acquisition of Centennial Coal, ABB Grain on its $2.1 billion merger with Viterra, and Gloucester Coal on its $606 million takeover by Noble Group. He has also advised on a number of recent IPO’s, including Miclyn Express, Bilfinger Berger Australia, and BrisConnections, and several companies on an ongoing basis, including Australian Agricultural Company (AAcco), and copper miner Finders Resources.
Stuart’s previous consultancy experience also includes a role at a London-based financial PR agency where he advised on a number of M&A transactions, including multi-billion pound international acquisitions and divestments by Vodafone Group.
Stuart's professional experience also includes roles with international investment banks, including Morgan Stanley (Hong Kong) and Schroders (London).
