About Susan
Susan Dillon is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment. Ms. Dillon is a CPA, CFF and CITP with more than 30 years of experience in high-stakes litigation, forensic investigations and regulatory inquiries. Her experience covers a broad range of industries, including insurance, hospitality, nonprofits, manufacturing, diversified industrial conglomerates, trusts, entertainment and banking.
Ms. Dillon routinely assesses commercial damages and develops expert opinions in matters involving breaches of contract, breaches of fiduciary duty, intellectual property disputes, business interruption, environmental claims, fraud, torts, money laundering, bankruptcy and regulatory issues. She specializes in quantification of damages, including lost profits, diminution in business value, reasonable royalty, disgorgement, unjust enrichment, and delay and disruption damages. She is regularly involved in dispute-resolution strategy and in developing settlement analyses to inform negotiations in complex legal matters.
Ms. Dillon has extensive expertise conducting forensic and regulatory investigations involving alleged fraud, financial irregularities and other anomalies. Her work also includes evaluating internal control frameworks, performing enterprise risk assessments and assessing regulatory and contractual compliance. She advises on corporate governance best practices such as whistleblower programs, conflict of interest policies, delegation of authority frameworks and ethics and compliance policies. She guides corporate boards, board committees, legal counsel and other executive leadership as they navigate financial exposure, systemic rise and government investigations.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Dillon held executive roles in litigation consulting, forensic investigations, regulatory compliance, internal audit and corporate finance. She began her career as an external auditor at a Big Four accounting firm.
