About Thomas
Thomas Lloyd is a Senior Director with FTI Consulting’s Construction, Projects & Assets practice based in Vancouver, Canada. Mr. Lloyd specializes in schedule analysis and damage quantification services in support of negotiation, litigation, adjudication and arbitration proceedings. Mr. Lloyd has experience as a project manager for an industry leading mechanical contractor having worked extensively in the commercial construction sector.
Mr. Lloyd has been retained by legal counsel as an expert to provide opinions on schedule delay and damage quantification in support of arbitration, litigation and adjudication hearings. Mr. Lloyd has authored multiple expert reports on delay analysis and damage quantification.
Mr. Lloyd has assisted owners and contractors in assessing the causes and impacts of schedule delays by preparing and evaluating delay and damages claims. This includes a detailed review of project records to develop a substantiated opinion in support of a claim or in response to a claim submission.
Mr. Lloyd has five years of project management experience in commercial construction as both a mechanical subcontractor and construction manager. He has managed all aspects of project delivery, including tendering, scheduling, cost controls, BIM management and commissioning.
Mr. Lloyd earned his bachelor’s degree from Queen’s University, where he studied mining and mechanical engineering. Mr. Lloyd is a Professional Engineer licensed by Professional Engineers Ontario (“PEO”) and a Project Management Professional licensed by the Project Management Institute (“PMI”).
