About Tim
Tim Parr is a Senior Director in FTI Consulting’s Forensic & Litigation Consulting Practice. Tim provides audit, litigation support and consulting services to governmental agencies, private law firms and construction contractors as well as government contractors. As a senior professional with more than 25 years of accounting and financial analysis experience, his work has focused on financial, accounting, economic and damages matters.
Tim reviews or assists in preparing claims for damages and assesses the adequacy of accounting systems and supporting documentation for both corporations and governmental entities. He reviews and analyzes summary and source documentation, including contracts, general ledgers, job cost reports, financial statements, payroll records, change orders, payment requisitions, invoices and time sheets.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Tim was a Managing Consultant with a construction consulting firm determining schedule delay, quantifying delay, disruption damages and providing expert testimony. Tim was previously a Vice President with a national litigation consulting firm performing damage analyses and providing expert testimony relating to government contract, construction and utility matters. He has analyzed accounting, economic and schedule issues in various types of disputes, including alleged breaches of contract, misappropriation of intellectual property and fraud investigations. Economic damages assessed include increased costs, schedule delays, lost profits and lost business value.
In contracting and procurement matters, Tim has investigated and quantified the impacts of design defects, performance deficiencies, changed conditions, schedule delay and other issues arising on very large projects, some of which were more than one billion dollars in value. Tim has written or drafted expert reports addressing claims. Tim has provided forensic analyses, which included support for expert reports, depositions and trial testimony. He has developed and analyzed extended overhead rates as well as quantifying losses of productivity. He has worked on behalf of commercial owners, general contractors, government contractors and subcontractors and sureties.
