About Timothy
Tim Wondolowski is a Managing Director in the FTI Consulting Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment and is based in Boston. Mr. Wondolowski has more than 25 years of experience in providing accounting, auditing and litigation consulting services, including forensic accounting and securities fraud. He provides advisory services regarding a broad range of complex accounting matters to law firms as well as privately held and publicly traded companies ranging in size from early-stage development enterprises to large multinational corporations. He regularly provides guidance regarding FASB pronouncements and related interpretations as well as guidance on overall financial reporting matters such as restatements of financial statements, SEC rules and regulations and other disclosure considerations.
Mr. Wondolowski regularly assists life science and technology companies through the initial public offering process, as well as providing technical support to newly public registrants. In this capacity, he provides guidance on accounting and disclosure for historical debt and equity financing transactions, derivatives, revenue recognition, license and collaboration agreements, equity compensation, leases, impairment, divestitures, variable interest entities and business combinations. He also works closely with management in preparation of registration statements, through the SEC comment letter process and with their initial filings as a public company.
Mr. Wondolowski has extensive experienced in working with publicly traded clients through the quarterly close process in preparation for quarterly reviews and their annual audits, including all aspects of material balance sheet documentation, analyzing complex business transactions, adopting new accounting pronouncments and financial statement preparation.
Mr. Wondolowski additionally provides forensic and technical accounting consulting services to clients in connection with SEC investigations and securities fraud matters involving accounting errors. Mr. Wondolowski has managed numerous accounting investigations where potential accounting irregularities were identified by a whistleblower or management, which led the company or board of directors to conduct an inquiry. He has also advised many clients through the restatement and remediation process once accounting irregularities have been identified.
Mr. Wondolowski has also represented numerous clients in white-collar criminal defense matters and business disputes that focus on complex and technical accounting issues.
