About Tom
Tom Becker devises and executes strategic communications plans to support clients going through a variety of matters, including litigation and civil and criminal investigations. He has advised hundreds of clients across the globe on sensitive and critical matters, including the largest defamation case to go to trial in U.S. history and one of the largest Ponzi schemes of all-time. Mr. Becker’s expertise is informed by his more than a decade of experience serving as a journalist covering high-profile corporate litigation, restructurings, and white-collar crime.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Becker spent 15 years as a senior executive with Sitrick And Company, a leading crisis communications firm. There, he supported clients across industries, including finance, retail, energy, health care, entertainment, sports, technology, and government contracting.
Earlier in Mr. Becker’s career, he worked as a journalist at both Bloomberg News and Dow Jones & Co., where he was responsible for covering high-profile court cases, particularly corporate bankruptcies and fraud.
Mr. Becker holds a M.S. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. in Journalism from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
