Vaughan Strawbridge has more than 25 years’ experience helping clients restructure their businesses. His focus has been on assisting large corporate and institutional clients in financial distress both by providing restructuring advice and through formal appointments as voluntary administrator or receiver and manager. He has significant expertise in managing complex situations across a range of industries and a proven track record in achieving beneficial commercial outcomes.
Vaughan’s recent engagements have included acting as the lead administrator of Virgin Australia, one of Australia’s largest administrations in recent history. He achieved a sale of the business via a Deed of Company Arrangement, after successfully negotiating with a diverse stakeholder group, including secured financiers, bondholders, aircraft and airport lessors, employees and unions.
Vaughan’s experience in the field of restructuring includes assisting clients with distressed debt advisory, expert witness reports, safe harbour advice, independent business reviews for secured lenders and other stakeholders, business transformation services and contingency planning and option analysis.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Vaughan was a partner at Deloitte in Sydney for 13 years. While at Deloitte, Vaughan worked in Australia, Thailand and the United Kingdom.
