Victor Cabral Fonseca

Victor Cabral Fonseca has 10 years of experience in innovation and digital transformation, working at the intersection of law, technology and strategic management. Victor began his career as a lawyer in Brazil’s startup and tech ecosystem, focusing on open innovation, corporate venture and legal structuring of technology-based businesses. He later transitioned to the field of legal tech transformation, where he led innovation practices at major law firms with a strong emphasis on technology, design, analytics and operational efficiency, in close collaboration with business leaders and executive teams.

Victor spent seven years at TozziniFreire Advogados, one of Latin America’s largest law firms, where he helped to design and then manage ThinkFuture, the first innovation program developed by a full-service Brazilian law firm. During this time, he spearheaded the implementation of generative AI solutions, including TF/AILA, Brazil’s first AI assistant in a law firm, and led projects involving business intelligence, legal design, workflow automation, operational pipeline structuring, platform reorganization, internal training programs and digital transformation strategies. Projects under his leadership earned five national awards and were featured at industry events in Brazil and abroad.

In 2023, Victor became Vice President of Innovation and Digital Transformation at Baptista Luz Advogados, where he led a multidisciplinary team in high-complexity projects involving emerging technologies, data analytics, process redesign and decision-support tools.

Throughout his career, Victor has also developed tailored Legal Tech, legal innovation and operational efficiency solutions for corporate legal departments and external clients, working in projects with high-profile companies in industries such as retail, aviation, technology, consumer goods and healthcare.

Victor holds an M.Sc. in Business Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (“FGV-SP”), where he researched the impact of technology on legal education and practice, and a B.A. in Law from the University of São Paulo (“FDRP-USP”). He taught Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the undergraduate law program at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and continues to lecture in postgraduate and executive education programs at institutions. Victor also holds certifications in Exponential Innovation from Singularity University and in agile project management (Scrum Master) and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Relevant Experience:

• Structured and led the implementation of Digital Transformation and innovation strategies and departments in two major law firms, overseeing strategic planning, team building, process design, technology selection, stakeholder engagement and the execution of more than 200 innovation projects between 2018 and 2025; these initiatives received multiple industry awards recognizing their impact on legal service delivery and operational efficiency
• Spearheaded the development of the first generative AI assistant within a full-service law firm in Brazil, later awarded at the largest legal innovation event in the country; the solution included AI model integration, workflow redesign and governance protocols, setting a national benchmark for the legal industry
• Advised in the development of the AI strategy for a mid-sized law firm, covering opportunity mapping, use case selection, vendor analysis, rollout of LLM-based tools and the setup of governance and risk management structures aligned with legal and business priorities
• Led Legal Tech, design and analytics projects focused on redesigning client-facing deliverables, building interactive dashboards for legal KPIs and automating internal workflows to enhance operational performance and efficiency in legal teams
• Advised corporate legal departments on the design and rollout of innovation, efficiency, management and technology projects, including diagnostics, roadmap definition, metrics, key roles, business strategies, change management and solution implementation across industries such as retail, manufacturing, aviation, healthcare and consumer goods
