Zak Mehan is a Managing Director on FTI Consulting’s Digital & Insights team. Mr. Mehan leads the development of integrated campaign strategies, leveraging digital data analytics, channel strategies and content to enhance corporate positioning and reputation protection, investor relations and public affairs engagements for clients across a range of sectors and at any stage in a company life cycle.
In particular, Mr. Mehan has helped lead communications and digital strategy around major restructurings in digital assets, valutation-driving campaigns for global consumer staples companies, retail investor engagement for telecommunications and pharmaceutical companies and stakeholder engagement and positioning engagements for companies in payments, banking, technology, mining and other industries.
Between stints at FTI Consulting, Mr. Mehan worked for Edelman as a senior account executive for the NY Health team. There, he delivered integrated communications strategies for reaching healthcare professionals in the neuroscience space, as well as employee engagement campaigns following a major corporate integration deploying rich multimedia components to enhance leadership visibility and positioning.
Prior to joining Edelman, Mr. Mehan was a Senior Consultant for FTI Consulting in London. There, he helped drive the growth of the digital and social media team by helping Life Sciences and Financial Services companies conduct stakeholder outreach and promote thought leadership activity in heavily regulated communications environments. He also provided guidance on leadership positioning, crisis preparedness and employee engagement strategies.
Mr. Mehan completed his B.A. in Political Science at James Madison University, with a focus on political communications and campaigning. He also completed minors in Creative Writing, Asian Studies and Chinese Business Studies and a Graduate Certificate in International Non-Governmental Organization Management.
