Private Equity Consulting Learn more
FTI Consulting helped a private equity client seeking to acquire a health insurance provider and administrator analyze information technology (“IT”)-associated risks, necessary investments and value creation opportunities.
Our Impact
The client was able to successfully acquire a target company and incorporate its IT after engaging FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity team.
- The team identified cybersecurity vulnerabilities and compliance issues, as well as red flags related to the managed services provider’s (“MSP”) infrastructure platform and network connectivity selection, maintenance and support.
 - A remediation plan was prepared to address the red flag issues during the acquisition.

Our Role
- FTI Consulting interviewed and collected artifacts from executives and management to understand IT requirements and environments.
 - The team assessed IT organization, applications, infrastructure, security, compliance, budget and spend, as well analyzing proprietary claims and rating systems to determine capabilities, stability, security, compliance and scalability.
 - Professionals assessed current IT MSP services, capabilities and contracts.
