Adam Tillery is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Atlanta. Mr. Tillery is a member of the Transaction Advisory Services practice. He has 13 years of experience providing accounting and finance advisory services.  Mr. Tillery has provided a broad range of services across diverse industries, including financial due diligence, forecasting, financial modeling and valuation analyses.

Since joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Tillery’s primary industry experience has been in healthcare, software and technology. His healthcare expertise includes numerous transactions with multi-location hospital systems, ranging in size from $10 million to $1+ billion net revenue. He has advised on acquisition targets, including long-term acute care hospitals, home health providers, pain clinics, rehab facilities, medical staffing, pharmaceutical companies and insurance providers.

Mr. Tillery’s software and technology experience includes numerous public-to-private transactions and extensive expertise with software revenue recognition under ASC 985-605 (formerly known as Statement of Position 97-2) and multiple-element arrangements under ASC 605-25 (formerly known as Emerging Issues Task Force 00-21). In addition, he has provided advice in numerous investments in healthcare technology.

Other industries Mr. Tillery has advised upon include consumer products and services, manufacturing and distribution, utilities, specialty lending and real estate. clients include private equity and lending institutions, including Goldman Sachs, Thoma Bravo, Warburg Pincus, H.I.G. Capital, Nautic Partners, Altaris Capital, Galen Partners, and Bank of America. His corporate clients include Hospital Corporation of America and Catholic Health Initiatives.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Tillery worked for four years in the Audit practice of Ernst and Young. His work involved testing of internal control environments and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance. In this capacity, Mr. Tillery’s primary client focus was software and technology, healthcare and manufacturing companies. 

Before that, Mr. Tillery spent two years working for Georgia Power in the Financial Planning and Analysis group. While there, he assisted in the software development and operational implementation of a new financial reporting model used for project analysis and month-end close consolidation.

Mr. Tillery holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a licensed certified public accountant in Georgia. Mr. Tillery is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
