Ann M. Land is a Senior Director in the FTI Consulting Forensic & Litigation Consulting, Environmental Solutions practice and is based in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Ms. Land’s primary areas of expertise include responsible party group expansion and forensic site history reconstruction for potentially responsible party (“PRP”) groups involved in complex environmental litigation throughout the United States.

Ms. Land's extensive experience includes all aspects of document research and analysis, public records investigations, online research of scientific literature, corporate history reconstruction, witness skip tracing and witness interviews. She has served as the lead investigator for two urban river superfund sites in the Pacific Northwest, a contaminated estuary study area near the Gulf of Mexico, an urban river in New England and a court-ordered ADR process for a New Jersey landfill site. She is also a contributing researcher team member on additional waterway sites located in New York, northern New Jersey and Ohio.

As lead investigator for PRP investigations, Ms. Land and her project team have collected and analyzed records for thousands of parties at more than 50 CERCLA, RCRA and state-lead sites throughout the country ultimately leading to the development of narrative information summaries and evidence packages designed to meet EPA General/Special Notice Letter and/or Rule 11 evidence standards.

For insurance defense groups, Ms. Land has investigated and analyzed public records and prepared comprehensive summaries for more than 250 NPL, RCRA and state-lead sites throughout the United States. As a result of her extensive public records research over the past 23 years, Ms. Land has developed a detailed knowledge of the means and methods of document storage and retrieval systems for substantially all records management divisions, archives, departments and bureaus at federal, state and local agencies, institutions and organizations.

In addition to the environmental investigations, Ms. Land has assisted experts and project teams with: eDiscovery concerning a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigation, monitoring a state low-energy income assistance program, insurance archaeology and researched and analyzed federal and state regulations/policies concerning hazardous substances such as Trichloroethylene, Mercury and Perchlorate.

Prior to her consulting experience, Ms. Land worked as a senior legal assistant specializing in environmental cases with regional law firms. Her prior employment also included tenures with EPA Region 10, Philadelphia City Council, Philadelphia Planning Commission and a natural resource legislative committee of the United States Congress. Ms. Land holds a B.S. in biology from the University of Tampa in Florida and has completed graduate studies at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
