Christopher Sdao is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting in the Health Solutions segment. His focus is on working with organizations to provide and implement solutions that increase revenue, reduce expense and create better processes. Mr. Sdao has healthcare industry expertise in large academic medical centers (Business Office and Practice Operations) and with several revenue cycle technology companies. Spanning over 20 years, his focus has been on leading change within organizations and driving business units to higher levels of performance.
Prior to working with FTI Consulting, Mr. Sdao helped organizations consistently achieve their goals by leading various endeavors including: Central Business Office operations and redesign; hospital and physician practice operations and redesign; as well as, managing I.T. projects within complex organizations. Mr. Sdao has held senior level positions at Northwell Health, Montefiore Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Mr. Sdao’s achievements include: implementing coding and charge capture solutions that increased revenue for Staten Island University Hospital (Northwell); reducing charge leakage and reducing cost to collect; implementing electronic charge capture and prescription writing solutions at SUNY – Stonybrook’s Clinical Practice Medical Plan; and leading the transition of the Professional Services Central Billing Office from the GE Centricity platform to Epic at Montefiore Medical Center.
Mr. Sdao holds a Bachelor of Arts in History, with a Government minor, from Franklin & Marshall College. He earned his Master of Business Administration from the Baruch College/Mount Sinai School of Medicine program at the City University of New York. He is also a member of the NY Hudson Valley Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
