David Dunn is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Philadelphia. He leads the client services and development efforts of the Geopolitical Intelligence practice, located within the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment’s Global Risk and Investigations Practice.
Mr. Dunn has more than 17 years of experience building and leading teams and advising multinational corporations and institutional investors on political risk and investment opportunities in markets around the world.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Dunn was Head of Corporate & Global Markets Advisory Services and a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Eurasia Group, a political risk consulting and advisory firm. In that capacity, Mr. Dunn oversaw a number of the firm’s largest clients as well as managed all aspects of the firm’s primary business lines, including leadership of the sales and business development staff located in New York, Washington D.C., and London. In addition, Mr. Dunn was responsible for implementing a number of significant firm-wide initiatives including a strategic shift from “information service provider” to “trusted advisor” by creating and building the firm’s corporate consulting practice, marrying political risk with traditional management consulting.
Prior to his work at Eurasia Group, Mr. Dunn spent 13 years on Wall Street working with institutional investors and public corporations. He began his career at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and was most recently Head of Capital Markets at Brean Capital, an independent investment bank and asset management firm. In that role, he managed the firm’s equity research, sales, and trading departments and was responsible for opening and overseeing the firm’s office in Beijing China. In addition to those responsibilities, Mr. Dunn worked in tandem with the investment banking group where he oversaw the successful placement of approximately $2bn in equity transactions.
Mr. Dunn received his B.A. in European History from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
