David Dunn is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity practice and is based in Philadelphia.
Mr. Dunn has more than 17 years of advising multinational corporations, financial firms on risk in markets around the world. In addition, he’s built and led a series of highly successful consulting teams within the professional services sector.
At FTI Consulting, Mr. Dunn leads global teams that handle large and complex cybersecurity incident response and investigations matters such as ransomware data breaches and business email compromises. He has expertise in and leads team on advanced cybersecurity posture reviews, gap assessments, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, crisis management, litigation support and investigations, source code review, cyber-regulatory compliance, and advanced threat detection and prevention. Mr. Dunn frequently advises the C-Suite and board members on the specific cyber risks they face, as well as best security practices to implement. He has a deep knowledge of nation state actors and the political motivations behind their actions. Mr. Dunn frequently gives presentations on cybersecurity topics at various industry events and authors topical thought leadership pieces. He is also part of FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity Leadership team.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Dunn was Head of Corporate & Global Markets Advisory Services and a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Eurasia Group, a risk consulting and advisory firm. In that capacity, Mr. Dunn oversaw a number of the firm’s largest clients as well as managed all aspects of the firm’s primary business lines. He was responsible for advising large corporations on risk, including from nation state actors, and managing sophisticated consulting and client service teams.
Prior to his work at Eurasia Group, Mr. Dunn spent 13 years on Wall Street working with institutional investors and public corporations. He began his career at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and was most recently Head of Capital Markets at Brean Capital, an independent investment bank and asset management firm.
Mr. Dunn received his B.A. in European History from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
