Devi Rajani is a Senior Managing Director in the Turnaround & Restructuring practice, advising on debt restructurings in Latin America. Ms. Rajani’s expertise includes performing due diligence; assisting financially troubled companies; reviewing business plans; undertaking receiverships; preparing companies for U.S. Chapter 11 filings; advising and assisting in various creditor requests and financial modeling, including capital structure models, integrated operational models, integrated cash flows, and other financial models used to assist stakeholders in understanding; and negotiating complex transactions.
With more than 15 years of experience, Ms. Rajani has worked in the construction (cement and ceramic tile), transportation, pulp and paper, manufacturing, automotive, hospitality, gaming, financial services, mining, oil and gas and food production industries in Mexico, Chile, Brazil and the Caribbean.
Ms. Rajani has been involved in numerous Latin American restructurings with debt totaling over USD$75 billion. In addition, she was involved in the receivership of Canada’s second largest charter airline. In the past, she also has provided litigation support services.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Rajani worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (“PwC”) Latin American Restructuring group. While at PwC, she worked on a variety of engagements from forensic investigations to business reviews in the Dominican Republic and Mexico. She also worked in the Audit and Assurance group for two years with experience in the manufacturing, not-for-profit and real estate sectors.
Ms. Rajani holds a B.Comm with honors from Queen’s University. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant and was one of the 54 individuals to achieve the highest standing in Canada in the 2005 Uniform Evaluation. She is also a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (“CIRA”), and received the Certificate of Distinguished Performance Award for achieving an exceptional score on the CIRA examination. She is a member of the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. Ms. Rajani is fluent in English and Spanish.
