Hunter Crittenden is a Managing Director in the Office of the CFO Solutions practice and specializes in interim management finance roles. He has more than 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (“FP&A”) and bankruptcy and turnaround restructuring. Mr. Crittenden has industry experience in the transportation and leisure, manufacturing, oil and gas, automotive, consumer products, construction, software technology and real estate sectors.
Mr. Crittenden has experience assisting clients with finance organization development, management reporting development and enterprise resource planning implementation. He has also provided clients with accounting process and FP&A assessments that have resulted in reducing clients’ close processes and providing more accurate and transparent reporting. Most recently, Mr. Crittenden served in the position of Interim Chief Financial Officer for a private equity portfolio company.
Mr. Crittenden has extensive FP&A experience managing key financial reporting functions for internal management consumption, as well as external communications in a publicly traded environment. He has been responsible for several segment profitability analyses leading to critical strategic partnerships and financial performance improvement.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Crittenden was the Senior Director of The Hertz Corporation’s Financial Planning & Analysis team, where he led numerous finance transformation initiatives, including integrating the Dollar/Thrifty brands into finance operations, implementing new financial systems, building out the FP&A team, and establishing financial analytics into the organization. He was also responsible for and oversaw the creation of the 2,500+ location-level budget process and managed the division-level planning processes for North American rental car operations.
During Mr. Crittenden’s time at Hertz, he led several financial system and big data implementation projects for FP&A, including the implementation of Tableau and Hyperion Planning, which culminated with the development of several critical reports used for global reporting and consumption. He also served as the subject matter expert for the global chart of accounts redesign.
Prior to joining The Hertz Corporation, Mr. Crittenden was a member of FTI Consulting’s Turnaround & Restructuring practice, specializing in bankruptcy and turnaround management activities. During this time, he created and improved three statement financial models and 13-week cash flow forecasting for liquidity needs and financial performance. He also acted in capacities to negotiate vendor disputes for resolution on the behalf of the debtor, as well as successful asset liquidation activities with buyer management and negotiation.
Prior to this, Mr. Crittenden was a Senior Consultant within the Assurance & Transaction Advisory Services practice of Ernst & Young, focused on 13-week cash flow models, cash management and technical accounting.
Mr. Crittenden holds a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Oklahoma. He is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and a Certified Public Accountant in Texas (inactive).
