Jeff Bockus is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Data & Analytics practice and is based in Boston. An experienced hire with many years in the financial services industry, Mr. Bockus has expertise in portfolio accounting and custodial services. In his former position, he was responsible for valuation of a variety of porfolios, giving him detailed knowledge of a range of fixed income and derivative investment vehicles, specifically asset-backed securities (ABS and MBS), corporate bonds, currency FX, residual interest bonds, CDS/IRS Swaps, and repurchase agreements. He has a working expertise of ’40 Act Mutual Funds and Private Equity Partnerships. Mr. Bockus brought his deep industry expertise in debt security characterics and financial accounting to the project, performing data-intensive reconciliations critical to the project’s client reports and deliverables. He was responsible for mastering complex the fund-of-fund relationships within the reinvestment program, and developed reconciling balance schedules that brought to light previously undiscovered errors in the client’s management reports. As a senior consultant on the engagement, Mr Bockus took a lead in presenting several highly technical but centrally important analyses on conference calls with client and counsel.

Jeff has a mastery of Excel, is proficient in Access and Oracle, and can fluently write SQL procedures for analytical purposes.

Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Bockus was an Officer for State Street Bank and Trust in the Alternative Investment Solutions division. At State Street, Mr. Bockus was the project leader for the conversion of legacy custody and accounting platforms for a multi-billion dollar private equity client. Over 10 months, his team successfully migrated the client's GL and portfolio to the firm’s current data and financial applications which required the management and reconciliation of large security holdings and transactional data sets. Mr. Bockus received the Private Equity Fund Services Management Award for his leadership on and execution of this project.

Mr. Bockus graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2006, earning his B.S. in Business Administration, majoring in Finance.
