Jennifer Byrne specializes in business plan assessment, due diligence and financial statement analysis. Ms. Byrne has close to 15 years of experience in finance and advisory services. She has industry expertise in several areas, including renewable energy, automotive, retail, technology and nonprofit.
Ms. Byrne has advised companies, lenders and creditors in distressed situations, including bankruptcy, operational restructuring, financial modeling and projections, liquidation analysis and litigation support. She has evaluated vendor relations and cash management procedures, developed key employee retention plans and assisted in preparing companies for Chapter 11 filing from an accounting and reporting standpoint.
Ms. Byrne has advised multiple renewable energy clients, restructuring their businesses in the wake of poor market conditions. She was an integral part of the teams that advised Cascade Grain Products and Pacific Ethanol through their respective Chapter 11 proceedings. Ms. Byrne assisted in the preparation of expert witness testimony by FTI Consulting regarding valuation of the Aventine plants as part of its Chapter 11 reorganization. Her advisory experience includes several matters involving wind farm projects, including litigation regarding terms of a power purchase agreement and due diligence for a private equity investment in a new set of projects.
Ms. Byrne has experience advising debtors, including serving as the Chief Restructuring Advisor to Crystal Cathedral Ministries during its Chapter 11 proceeding and as the lead supporting the firm’s interim management engagements of a livestock farming operation and a national building products distributor. She also has experience advising the secured lenders in the amendment of a defaulted $186 million commercial real estate loan and the restructuring of a privately held restaurant franchise corporation.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Byrne was a Manager in the Reorganization Services group of Deloitte’s Financial Advisory Services practice in San Francisco and Washington, D.C. While there, she also focused on analysis and support for companies in need of financial and operational restructuring.
