About Katie
Katie Hodgson-Thomas has a proven track record in public policy development and political strategy, having served three terms as a member of the Western Australian Parliament between 1996 and 2008. Katie brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in government relations and stakeholder engagement.
During her time in the Western Australian Parliament, Katie served as a parliamentary secretary to the Minister for Health and held shadow portfolio responsibilities for transport, tourism, small business, environment and road safety. Additionally, she was deputy chair of the Community Development and Justice Standing Committee.
Katie has held senior positions with a number of membership-based industry associations, including the Australian Hotels Association — Western Australia (“AHAWA”), Tourism Council — Western Australia and the Caravan Industry Association.
Prior to FTI Consulting, Katie ran her own consultancy practice, specialising in government relations.
Katie is a former independent chair of the Western Australian Fishing Industry Council and is the current chair of the Western Australian Road Safety Council and deputy chair of the Gaming and Wagering Commission.
