Michael Kleinmann has more than 23 years of experience in consulting and has worked with health systems, academic health centers, health plans, life sciences companies, government health agencies, and new entrants to strategically leverage technology and innovation to transform their businesses. His experience also includes selling, managing, and delivering engagements in the areas of IT Strategy, Analytics, IT Operating Models, Innovation and Disruptive Tech, Digital Health, Population Health, and Platform Modernization, as well as other enterprise level business and technology transformations.
Mr. Kleinmann has led numerous cross-functional initiatives, including IT business cases and investment plans, vendor assessments and system selections, IT and innovation assessments and strategies, IT operating and governance model redesigns, platform strategies, digital health strategies, data monetization strategies, and enterprise-level technology transformation programs.
Prior to working with FTI Consulting, Mr. Kleinmann led complex digital transformation and technology strategy initiatives across the healthcare ecosystem. He was responsible for creating new practices and offerings, driving sales, leading successful delivery of engagements, and maintaining client relationships.
Mr. Kleinmann’s experience includes leading an assessment and multi-year strategy for a top academic health system to enable population health, value-based care, patient engagement, analytics, and interoperability. He led a consumer mediated data enablement strategy and roadmap for a leading integrated healthcare organization. He also led a digital transformation strategy, roadmap, and investment initiative for a regional health plan with a focus on enhancing customer experience, interoperability, and data capabilities.
Mr. Kleinmann was responsible for leading value-based care platform strategies and deployment programs for a Top 5 health system as well as a national health plan to enable value-based care arrangements, interoperability, and analytics. He led a market entry and technology enablement strategy for a global retailer’s entry into healthcare, lab technology assessment and strategy for a Top 10 health system, and disruptive tech and innovation strategies and platform enablement assessments and deployment plans for leading health systems, health plans, life sciences organizations, and Health IT companies, as well as state and federal health agencies.
Mr. Kleinmann received a B.A. in Public Relations from Marquette University and a certificate of Biomedical and Health Informatics from Oregon Health Sciences University.
